Who We Are

About Jivadaya

A journey of devotion, service, and spiritual discovery. Learn about our roots and our mission to share timeless wisdom.

Welcome to Our Spiritual Family

Jivadaya is a not-for-profit initiative run in the spirit of public service by the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), Pune, India. We operate from the New Vedic Cultural Center (NVCC)—a spiritual and cultural landmark inaugurated in 2013 by the Hon'ble former President of India, Late Shri Pranab Mukherjee.

Our mission is to help individuals rise above life's anxieties by reconnecting with their spiritual identity. Through timeless Vedic wisdom, we aim to awaken higher consciousness, bring clarity to life's purpose, and offer real solutions to modern challenges.

About ISKCON

The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) is a spiritual institution founded by His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada in 1966. Its core mission is to promote the well-being of society by teaching the science of Krishna consciousness, as presented in the Bhagavad-gita and Srimad Bhagavatam.

Our movement aims to bring people together, transcending all social, national, and religious boundaries, and to create a more peaceful and spiritually fulfilling world through the chanting of the Hare Krishna mantra and the practice of bhakti-yoga.

About Jivadaya

JIVADAYA (meaning "compassion to living entities") is a cornerstone of our service to the community. We believe that compassion for all living entities is a fundamental principle of devotion. This program focuses on providing care and support for those in need, embodying the spirit of selfless service.

By distributing authorized spiritual books, providing free sanctified meals (prasadam) to remote and disadvantaged communities, and offering life-skills coaching, we seek to uplift the physical, mental, and spiritual aspects of every individual.

About His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada

His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada is the founder-acharya of ISKCON. A true spiritual master, he brought the ancient wisdom of the Vedas and the teachings of Lord Krishna to the entire world, traveling and preaching relentlessly despite his advanced age.

Prabhupada dedicated his life to translating and commenting on over eighty volumes of Vedic scriptures. These books, including the Bhagavad-gita As It Is and the Srimad Bhagavatam, provide a clear, authoritative, and scientific guide to self-realization and the path of devotion. We are committed to distributing this priceless knowledge worldwide.
